John Lennon & Yoko Ono

This was John Lennon and Yoko Ono's first film, "Suprise Suprise" quite soon around the time they had just got together, the song they are playing is called 'everyone had a hard year' which was a unfinished song of John Lennons, which was then collaberated with a Mcartney song, to make "Ive got a feeling'. Which is a shame, because "everyone had a hard year is so much better.
This is quite unique footage, taken at Ringo Starr's house where John & Yoko first lived together - because his flat in London became unusable when John was caught for weed before he
met Yoko watch - "suprise suprise"

Also Listen to their song "Dont Worry Kyoko, (Mummy's Only looking for her hand in the snow)".
play

This couple did quite alot of cool avant-garde shit, you should probably also check out their big film, or slightly larger film. TWO VIRGINS. The music is nice and dreamy, nature-ish and droney. And so is the movie, of course pyschadelic.
Recorded May 19, 1968 -- the night that Yoko Ono practiced her witchcraft, and hypnotized John Lennon, who was very vulnerable after over 2 years of taking LSD almost daily.watch.. two virgins

apart from this and some other stuff, yoko sucked.

CRYBABY. AND THE BEATLES ARE BAD.

What south-african post-rock? What good south-african post-rock? or South-African post-rock for that matter?

Why is South-African music so bad, why does it really suck, why is the only thing that has anything to do with popular music in south-africa is between fucking danny-k and the dirty skirts. Or shitty Electro DJ's and dubstep, and people who just think they are too fucking folky indie for their own pants. Why is South-african music so shit? I think it has to do with many south-african hipsters being too lame, and too many animal collective cd's being played in lame hipster homes.Everyone stop sucking hipster garbage cock, and listen to good music and make good music. Stop wearing neon, and stop having account on lookbook and just be a little bit cooler. Stop going to evol, stop going to fiction and stop vomiting in your moms house. Here is my friends band, or post-rock band, that hopefully has more dignity than you kak-tards. BELIEVE! AND STOP THINKING YOU ARE SO INDIE. STOP IT. PLEASE. ITS VERY PAINFUL TO WATCH.
IF YOU ARE SO ARTY, THEN MAKE SOME PAINTINGS GOD-DAAAAAMN. AND IF YOURE SO FUCKINF FILMY, THEN GET A SUPER 8 AND FILM YOURSELF FUCKING YOUR DIGNITY. OH WAIT YOU WOULDNT FUCK YOUR DIGNITY, CAUSE YOU LOST IT, IN A GAY BAR WEARING A BLANKET SHIRT.

Le Elbow, different music to what you listen to.

Psychic TV

From the former gods of Throbbing Gristle and Alternative TV, bring you Psychic TV the wonder child of Genesis P-Orridge the occultist bloody tasted acid-head surf-goth. A band tagged as possibly 'industrial, experimental, psychedelic and electronic' but most importantly a large presence of the popular avant-garde. In the 80s, the time artists like Ariel Pink and many other based on the Lo-Fi aesthetic and grungy pop kids look back on with a tear in their eye. And psychic TV's period from 1981-1987 with the album Allegory and Self would really put a tear on the eye to many of whom who have anything to do with lo-fi pop going much around nowadays. This band being so responsible with alot of genre's nowadays as of their ever-changing style. Such as their acid-house phase, which is much like the chill-wave style of today.

Its a sweet nostalgic sound of psychedelic sound, and maybe just the very start of 'good' indie. hardy beats, lo-fi hurty guitar and droney acid-washed and dream out of all reality sweet druggy poppy, great fucking shit! If its there song 'Are you experienced' where a small girl sings there song for them, their music video (thanks to crazy videographer - Peter Christopherson) being a kid walking around a desert landscape in all 80s surf-goth psychedelic fashion, probably fed acid by band members. Its a band that really has a bit too much to do with music being made today, or almost what people are trying to make nowadays but its in the 80s. So its alot more sincere in the way that they are not trying to replicate anything, but rather they are the kings of it.

Not only this but they definetly had the strong present of 'art' such as the velvet underground, they were all quite famous with their distinct style and understanding of there somewhat made acidy genre. Its murky pop, its acid-driven stoner rock, and its really great, its something i do love. and you will probably too.

Contributions to Psychic TV have included artists such as Coil, Current 93, Hafler Trio, and even The Cult. Even if you don't like their music, you have appreciate those videos.

 - AND THIS ALBUM

Tickley Feather - Hors d'oeuvres (2009)

All encompassing and powerful single mom Annie Sachs or Tickley Feather is something to be excited about. Its not too sweet, and its not too poppy, and sits just right in the pretentious murks of the possible 'lo-fi' label. But undeniably, its good, very good stuff. Upon first listen, she might not sound too different from the rest of the blissfully reverbed lo-fi chicks emerging today. Although before you think too much of someone being 'lo-fi' there is a deeper and more full understanding and almost a haunting feel to Annie Sachs new musical endeavor. Her sound is 'unique, but its personal and precious' although her sound is something very new and something 2009 should be quite proud of. Have a listen and have a see, its something you should have if you dont already. And fuck pitchfork for making good music hipster garbage.

Hleger - wood, flowers, blue bats (2009)

Well, here it is, my latest album -my baby. Pretty different but still Hleger. Inspired a little bit by chillwave in little respects, also madonna and groovey mango beats. A bit more poppy in terms of folk. Im not too sure, but i hope you like it. But mainly inspired by lo-fi tape aesthitic more than anything, and to play something thats poppy except to record it in a almost horrible way, makes it just somehow sound better. Ariel Pink and Holy Shit probably have alot to do with it. have a quick little listen? Chilly, Mangoey, Islandy, Post-punk and lo-fi stuck on a island, but its all a dream. Well, ya!

1. Baboon Groove
2. Outside
3. Maths Song
4. horrorhorror
5. all of october to sleep
6. the wood
7. and all of october
8. is it just me or are there deers on the mountain
9. california
10. ghost pop

Well if you guys ever want my music just keep tell me and ill send over a cd-r.

Hleger - is Haj! (2009)

Well i do make my own music myself, i'd like everyone to have a listen and tell me what they think, its good that way. This is a old dug-up type 'a album of old tunes of mine, the stuff i started with- i guess its expermental stuff. I had a gig at a place called Tagores and handed out some cd-r's of pretty much at that point all the music i had made that i thought people would want on a cd. From there it kind of made itself an album, and Hleger - is Haj! kind of worked. I tried to make it quite dreamy and strange but with alot influences from cool old pop and good singer-songwriters. Anyway, please do have a good look at it, Ill post more recent albums soon soon. But for now, have a listen to 'Hleger - is Haj!'.
