Matrix Metals - Flamingo Breeze (2009)

Have you ever heard of Matrix Metals? Yea, well i hadnt heard of them either until i found them the other day.

Sound quite simliar to the work of James ferraro, i think the main guy from this project was in a band with the dude. If you havent heard James Ferraro already, or Lamborghini Crystal already, you probably should aswell as his many similar artists and side projects.

MATRIX METALS "FLAMINGO BREEZE, PART 4"

Now many people might tag this stuff as drone, or other tags that would probably put people off. But this isnt the type of drone, with kids masturbating with the noises of their synths type of drone. This is something completely new. If its any type of drone, its "80s hawaiian pi vhs flickering through sega genesis circuits drone." If miami cops were on too much coke and acid, driving through a tele-portation beachy islandy tropical mind-numbing mother-fucking dinosuar, jurrasic park adventure dug up and out of a old heap of reel-to-reel tapes. All through recorded on a VHS tape type of drone!" the sound these guys make, is enough to get excited about for someone not into drone. These Southern California mythology cats capture the imaginary high life of neon Corvette ridesand sea-breeze mind-surfing. There sound is very very very good.

Hanging Coffins

Hanging Coffins are a strange new pysch punk band from Eugene OR. Night-People got exposed to these dudes Chrome esque, creeped out, dark, druggy jams via there cassette on Madison’s Jerkwave Tapes. This is a stark album not in its lack of fullness of instrumentation or composition but in its isolated downer feelings and mood, there are times when something brighter and slightly uplifting shines through the fog of the menacing psychedelic guitar grit, but for the most part this is damaged primordial alien rock and it rips. its very good, i liek it alot.
