Rangers - Suburban Tours (2010)

RANGERS! FUCKING RANGERS!
Howcome this kid hasn't been heard enough, thats what i wanna' know. Well they're some type of post-chillwave 90's groove-athon similiar to James Ferraro except more "NOW". With some obsession with Suburbs, i guess they're drugged up suburb kids who lived too much of the 80s. Apparently this song i found is off  their L.P "Suburban Tours" Released March 2010. It's said to be "The obvious comparison point is James Ferraro or Ariel Pink and their expressions of white American solitary poplife." (Even though James Ferraro is NOT white, to the stupid hipster who wrote that on his laptop at Starbucks.)
This album was inspired by his move from the outskirts of his native Dallas, Texas, to a rainy San Francisco, weird lonliness of pop filled him. Whether it was him reminising of kids pizza and gym work-out videos he made a fucking good album. If you haven't heard this, then you're a late-o creep.

The New Creation - Troubled

The New Creation was born in 1970 when Chris Towers, an unknown guitarist from Vancouver, decided to form a Christian rock group with Lorna Towers as lead singer and Janet Tiessen on drums. Scared by reports of the hippie excesses of the Manson/Altamont era, Lorna Towers wrote doom-laden, apocalyptic lyrics for the New Creation's aptly titled album, Troubled. The band was unpolished, yet somehow captured a unique lo-fi sound comparable to a hybrid of the Velvet Underground and the Shaggs.

60’s Garage Godcore? Yet it transcends being a mere period piece. The band’s songwriting is deliriously brilliant, their lyrical perspective haunting. The band’s sincerity is unquestionable, even if its meters are unfathomable. Fearful Christian kids worrying about drugs and Manson Cults looming, singing songs about it. Its really beatiful. This album was thought to be lost in the mist of times, it has quite a nice feel to it songs like "The Cherry Blossoms" and The Shaggs got together and had sex in a pyschadelic garage, and left the re-verb on. Its distorted and lazy, and lo-fi genius, i know its Christian, im not Christian, but i like good music. And its really amazing. Don't think, just download, and let your mind go numb with good jams.
